1. What information do I need to order parts?

  • Model number with any additions such as KX61-3 alpha 2 or alpha 3
  • Serial number for the digger – this can be found on the plate below the operators cabin windscreen and again stamped on the kingpost for the offset boom.
  • A part number would be very useful too it you have access to a parts manual
  • For Bomag Parts we require the full serial number starting 101, Thwaites is the last 5 numbers (1 letter and 4 numbers or just 5 numbers) and Hyundai is also the last 5 numbers.

2. Service or Warranty assistance?

3. How do I programme a new black key for a Kubota?

For all Dash 3 models;

  • Insert the RED programming key (DO NOT TURN THE KEY) and press the monitor button twice. When the digital panel displays the message “Register mode / Pull out the key”, remove the RED key.
  • Next insert a black operational key. The digital panel will tell you when to remove it. The black key is now registered and can be used to start the machine.
  • To register several black keys, simply continue to insert each one, removing them when instructed to do so. Up to four black keys can be registered for a single machine. When you have finished registering keys, insert a registered black key and turn it to “Run”.
  • REMEMBER THE RED KEY WILL NOT START THE MACHINE – it is only the master programming key – please keep it safe

For all Dash 4 models;

  • Insert the RED programming key (DO NOT TURN THE KEY) and press the monitor button ONCE. When the digital panel displays the message “Register mode / Pull out the key” OR DISPLAYS A SYMBOL SHOWING KEY BEING REMOVED, remove the RED key.
  • Next insert a black operational key. The digital panel will tell you when to remove it. The black key is now registered and can be used to start the machine.
  • To register several black keys, simply continue to insert each one, removing them when instructed to do so. Up to four black keys can be registered for a single machine. When you have finished registering keys, TURN THE LAST BLACK KEY TO START THE MACHINE INSTEAD IF REMOVING IT AND THIS WILL END THE PROCESS.
  • REMEMBER THE RED KEY WILL NOT START THE MACHINE – it is only the master programming key – please keep it safe

4. How do I reset the service light after completion of a service?

  • All Dash 3 Models – you press and hold the work light switch, turn the machine on while still holding the switch listen for the two beeps and it should be cleared.
  • Dash 4 Models – these are all different depending on the model – please select model below
  • KX015,016, 018, 019-4
  • KX057-4 + U48-4
  • KX080-4

5. What type of oil is used in my machine?

  • Hyundai – Engine Oil is 15/40, Hydraulic Oil is 46, Gear Oil is 85/140
  • Kubota – Engine Oil is 15/40, Hydraulic Oil is 46, Gear Oil is LS90 (DPF Engine Oil is 10W40 LE Spec, Please check)
