150,000th Hyundai Unit produced at Ulsan Plant, Korea

On 11th July 2009, Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd celebrated the production of 150,000th unit at the Ulsan Plant in Korea.  HHI president & CEO Kil-seon Choi and Chief Operating Officer Kiu-hyun Park, along with 2,000 employees and guests, were present to celebrate.

The Construction Equipment division started to produce machines in 1987, passed 50,000 mark in 2000, 100,000 in 2005 and 150,000 mark in June 2008.  This is the fastest record for a construction equipment maker in Korea. Moreover, including units produced from overseas operations, this also marked 220,000th unit produced globally.
